Microsoft is officially ending support for its 13-year old operating system, Windows XP. If you are not on the cloud, and running the local versions of our applications on Windows XP, please note that you become increasingly vulnerable to security threats, compatibility issues, and numerous other problems as each day passes by without Microsoft's support to keep the operating system maintained and up-to-date.
Though this does not necessarily mean that A&K will cease support for our Windows XP customers at this point in time, it makes it increasingly difficult for us to support our applications in an increasingly outdated environment. It is recommended that you take the appropriate measures to ensure that your data is protected. For A&K customers, there is a couple of options to ensure that you are protected:
Update your operating system to a newer version of Windows (7 or 8 recommended)
Windows XP will be known as "hacker heaven" after Microsoft officially ends support. It is paramount that you update your operating system to ensure that your data is kept safe and your systems secure. Keep in mind that, depending on the version of A&K software you have, it may not be compatible with Windows 7 or 8. It may be worth calling our support line to consider your options.

When you migrate to the cloud, your data is stored securely on our datacenters in a closed, secure environment, backed up twice a day, everyday. Even if something were to happen to your computer, you can simply get on another computer or a mobile device to access your data on the cloud and resume your work, without any downtime.
Please note that the latest version of our software with the newest features and updates are only available on the cloud. Though A&K offers Windows 7 & 8 compatible versions for our non-cloud users on support, it is strongly recommended that you consider the cloud option to make sure that you remain up-to-date on both software and operating system. |
